How often should my dog be groomed? +
It greatly depends on the breed, coat type, and their lifestyle. Generally, dogs with continuously growing hair (like Poodles, Doodles, or Shih Tzus) need a full groom every 4-6 weeks to prevent severe matting. Double-coated breeds benefit from deep de-shedding treatments every 8-12 weeks.
Do I need to make an appointment in advance? +
Yes, we operate strictly by appointment only to ensure each pet gets our undivided attention and the salon remains calm and uncrowded. Please try to book at least 1-2 weeks in advance, particularly for weekend slots.
Can I stay and watch my pet being groomed? +
For the safety of your pet, we usually ask owners not to stay in the line of sight. Pets often get highly excited and wriggly when they see or smell their owners, which makes safely grooming them with sharp tools very difficult and dangerous.
What vaccinations are required? +
We require physical or digital veterinary proof of current Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccinations for all dogs prior to entry. Cats must have proof of current Rabies and FVRCP vaccines.
My dog is aggressive or very anxious. Can you still groom them? +
We are fear-free certified and specialize in handling anxious pets gently. However, you must inform us of any biting history or severe behavioral issues beforehand so we can schedule extra time or assign our most experienced handler. We reserve the right to safely end the service if the pet poses a severe danger to themselves or our staff.
How long does a grooming appointment take? +
A typical full groom takes between 2 to 4 hours depending on the size of the dog, their coat condition, their behavior, and the specific services requested. We will give you an estimated time at drop-off and call or text you 20 minutes before they are ready for pickup.
Do you use heated cage dryers? +
Absolutely not. We only use room-temperature high-velocity air movers and hand fluff dryers. Your pet's safety, comfort, and temperature regulation are our number one priorities. We also provide "Happy Hoodies" to protect their sensitive ears from the noise of the dryer.
What if I'm not entirely happy with the haircut? +
Please let us know immediately! If you notice something you'd like adjusted (like shorter ears or a rounder face) when you pick up your pet, we are more than happy to fix it right then and there to ensure you are 100% satisfied with our work.
